The commitments within Priority 1: Give every child the best start in life are:
Increase the uptake of breastfeeding.
Improve children’s oral health.
Improve readiness for school.
Improve perinatal (from becoming pregnant to a year after giving birth), children and young people’s mental health.
Increase the uptake of vaccinations.
Deliver the Families First programme, which aims to transform children’s social care by prioritising early intervention and family support.
