Share your views on the Alley gating PSPOs
In October 2014, the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 introduced a range of powers to help tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB), including Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs).
PSPOs can be used to address activities in public places that have a detrimental effect on the quality of life of those in the local community. They provide local authorities and the police with powers to help prevent and address ASB in specific locations.
There are currently 14 alley gating PSPOs in place across the borough. These Orders are due to expire in October 2026 and must be reviewed at least once every three years. As part of this review, we would like to hear your views before the Council considers whether the Orders should be extended, varied or discharged.
