Your views are really important and what you have told us will be used to help shape the draft Climate Emergency Response Plan 2025-2030 for the borough, which will then be shared for public consultation later this year.


Businesses throughout the borough are the engines of our productivity, employment and living standards. Our larger industrial businesses are key local employers and an important part of the community, however they also generate significant carbon emissions. Emissions from industry are the largest component of our overall emissions in the borough, however, in recent years, they have fallen at a quicker pace compared to other sectors, reflecting the efforts the sector is making. We intend to work with businesses of all sizes to support their sustainable transition to net zero, while maintaining existing jobs and creating new ones in green industries throughout the borough. This will support the area’s aim to create sustainable and inclusive growth.

    About this survey

    We would like to hear your views on our proposed priorities for tackling Climate Change in west Cheshire. 

    The Council is renewing its Climate Emergency Response Plan and we would like to understand if the themes we have set out are the right ones and if you think there is anything else that should be included in the new Plan.

    Your feedback is important and will be analysed and used to help shape a new draft Climate Emergency Response Plan, which will then be shared for public consultation later this year.
