    Hamza’s Wild World

This was really interesting and full of loads of facts. I really liked the layout as there are lots of images as well as writing. Hamza also chooses his top 10 favourite animals and throughout the book he has spotlights on important people, like David Attenborough. There were also sections about different careers which I thought was great. This was a fun read.

I really, really loved this book! It’s sci-fi and fantasy, which isn’t a genre I normally read. I loved the characters and I love anything space themed so it was great! The second book comes out in October so I’m very excited for this!

    Skandar and the Spirit War

This is the final book in the series and it is amazing! It was my favourite read of the summer and I got to go to an event in Manchester and hear the author speak and get my book signed.

    Idol, Burning - Rin Usami

    Idol, Burning - Rin Usami

This was a really riveting book about fan culture in Japan. The story follows Akari, a young girl whose one passion in life is her ‘oshi’ (idol), Masaki Ueno, a member of a Japanese pop group. Akari’s life is thrown into disarray when Masaki is accused of punching a female fan. This book was an interesting look at Otaku culture and public shaming.
