The 'Join the Conversation' consultation has now closed.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the borough plan consultation. Your feedback has helped the Council to develop a new plan for west Cheshire.
The findings report is availablehereand information about the new Borough Plan 2024-2028, 'Play your part towards a Stronger Future', is availablehere.
The findings were discussed by Cabinet and Full Council in February 2024, to help to inform Councillors' decisions as they consider the plan. Information about these meetings can be found below:
Your chance to shape your community and local services
We are developing our Borough Plan for 2024-2028.
We want to be sure we are taking the right approach to working together and improving our communities and local services over the next four years. This proposed plan sets out our early thinking in an ongoing conversation with local people about the strengths of our borough, as well as the opportunities and challenges that we face.
We want to check that we’ve understood the feedback we’ve received so far, and that the priorities and approaches proposed within this plan are right for west Cheshire. We can then develop a clear and detailed plan to deliver our agreed priorities. Your feedback will help shape that plan and guide everything we do across the borough.
In particular, we would like to hear your thoughts on:
our early thinking on a vision and priorities for the next four years
our proposals for how we need to work differently, particularly when faced with financial pressures
how residents can work alongside us on the things that matter to them.
We will use your feedback to help shape the new borough plan. We will publish a summary of your feedback on our website and explain how we are responding, in February 2024. The proposals will then be voted on at our full Council meeting, scheduled for 15 February 2024 at Wyvern House, Winsford. We are running this exercise at the same time as a consultation on the Council’s budget plan and would encourage you to also take part in that process here.
This consultation will be open until 11pm on 17 December 2023.
