Our priorities for community led care and carers support
In Cheshire West and Chester’s Council Plan 2020-2024 known as “Play Your Part to Thrive”, we outlined our commitment to providing a range of services to support residents to keep them healthy and independent, and ensure they get advice and support in a timely way.
To deliver these pledges we are working towards six aims, which are to:
enable residents and carers to live longer, healthier and more independent lives,
ensure carers are supported to maintain their caring role,
ensure that residents and carers can access effective support in the community,
ensure that residents and carers feel empowered to influence their own support needs,
work more closely with health and community sector partners to ensure services maximise the strengths of the organisations and the people they support, and reduce duplication
support the principles as set out in the Cheshire West Compact 2021-2024 such as building upon relationships between all organisations within the public, voluntary, community and faith sectors for the benefit of residents, improved partnership working, the creation of sustainable, quality services for all communities, and recognising the importance of community sector organisations.
