The Short Breaks Strategy Consultation has now closed. Thank you to everyone who took part. The findings of this consultation are available here. Your feedback has made a difference in shaping the strategy and future service delivery to reflect the views families. The Short Breaks Strategy was discussed by the Council’s Cabinet on 17 March 2021. Information about the meeting is available on the Council’s website here. |
Share your views on improving short breaks for children, young people and families across Cheshire West and Chester.
We are writing a strategy to ensure that children and young people with special education needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families can access appropriate short breaks. Short breaks give SEND children the chance to have time away from their families, make new friends and have fun, and enable parents and carers to have a break from their caring role.
We want to ensure the strategy offers the right mix of solutions to respond to families changing needs. We would like to hear from all families of children and young people with SEND, and the organisations, groups and support networks who work with them. Your feedback on the draft strategy will help us to ensure future short breaks services reflect the needs of families.
