I raised £131 for Cancer Research UK by painting and selling rocks to my teachers. This was in memory of one of our TA’s who passed away in March.

Meadow7 months agoThe fairy tale hairdresser and Cinderella
I love this book because it always puts you in a good mood:) It's a bit like Cinderella, but the hero is a hairdresser called Kittie Lacey who saves the day! I rate this book 4 and a half out of 5 Maya, aged 8 (Note that this is not a competition entry as we live just outside the Borough)
0Meadow8 months agoVolcanoes
Author: Stephanie Turnball, Illustrator:Andy Tudor. We recommend this book because it shows younger children what volcanoes are and the beauty of them. It says that volcanoes are named after Vulcan the Roman God of Fire and that some blocks of lava are as big as trucks! We rate this book 4 out of 5. (Rosie and Maya, aged 8) (We do not live in the Borough so this is not a competition entry, we are sharing this for fun!)
0Meadow7 months agoThe Solar System
Author: Emily Bone Illustrators: Terry Pastor & Tim Haggerty I recommend this book because it helps little children learn about the 9 planets in the solar system (including Pluto) and shows people real images of the planets. This book also says that Venus is so hot its surface glows in the dark and that in 1969 astronauts landed on the moon in a spacecraft! I rate this book 4 out of 5 By Rosie aged 8 (Note this is not a competition entry. We live just outside the Borough boundary, we're sharing for fun).
