New for 2026 and to mark the National Year of Reading, we're really excited to launch Teens Read Two, a fantastic new reading challenge for young adults of secondary school age.
The Teens Read Two challenge runs from 4 July to 6 September 2026. All you need to do to enter is to be aged between 11 and 17 and tell us about two books you have read this summer. You’ll then be in with a chance to win a £50 book voucher through our prize draw.
How do I take part?
Pick up an entry form from any Cheshire West Library and then let us know about two books you have read in the holidays (an eBook, eAudiobook, a library book or one of your own). Let us know the titles and authors, along with what you thought of them (this can be a short phrase e.g. “it was quite good” or something longer, your choice).
Things you need to know:
The closing date is 6 September.
You need to live with the boundaries of Cheshire West and Chester, be aged between 11 and 17 years and be a member of Cheshire West and Cheshire Libraries, in order to win. If you’re not already a member you can join online here.
If you are aged between 11 and 15 years, you must have a parent or guardian's permission to enter (this is due to there being a monetary prize draw). They will need to sign the back of the entry form and add a contact number or email before it is handed in. Alternatively the parent/guardian can write their library card number on the back, if they're a member.
You can hand in the flyer at any Cheshire West Library or post it to: Teens Read Two Competition, Ellesmere Port Library, Civic Way, Ellesmere Port, CH65 0BG. If posting, please write the name of your local library on the back.
Winners will be announced in September and contacted by the email or contact number listed on their library card. You can view the full terms and conditions of the competition here.
