The current Outreach Service has been positively received by schools as it offers timely, practical SEND support. The Council wants to build on this good practice by expanding the service, in order to support children, young people and teachers in mainstream schools. This includes proactively reaching out to those schools that may not have previously made referrals, as well as those that already refer into the service.

We want to monitor progress by providing regular reports to track the impact of the service and inform improvements. We also want to assist schools in making appropriate referrals to other support services where needed.
