Celebrate your love of books and reading this summer and join our adult reading challenge, online and in libraries.
The Adults Read Two competition runs from 6 July to 8 September 2024. All you need to do to enter, is to tell us about two books you have read this summer. We have two age categories which are:
13-17 years (13-15 years need parental permission to enter)
18+ years
You’ll then be in with a chance to win a £50 book voucher through our prize draw. For more information and to get started, go to How do I take part? below.
You can also take part in our Booket List - our 30 favourite reads this summer from 1 August. This is just for fun but can be used for ideas for your reading over the summer. How many have you read? Join in the conversation on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and tell us #WhatAreYouReading?
If you have children or grandchildren, under the age of 13, then they can be signed up to the Summer Reading Challenge.
How do I take part?
Simply read two books (an eBook, eAudiobook, a library book or one of your own) between 6 July and 8 September and let us know the titles and authors, along with what you thought of them (this can be a short phrase e.g. “it was quite good” or something longer, your choice).
You can enter your reviews via the competition flyer, which you can pick up and hand in at any Cheshire West Library, or add them online below.
Things you need to know:
The closing date is Sunday 8 September 2024.
You need to live within the boundary of Cheshire West and Chester, be aged 13 years or over and be a member of Cheshire West and Chester Libraries, in order to win. If you’re not already a member you can join online here.
If you don’t want to submit your entries online, you can hand in the flyer at any Cheshire West Library or post it to: Adults Read Two Competition, Ellesmere Port Library, Civic Way, Ellesmere Port, CH65 0BG.
Winners will be announced in September and contacted by the email used to register for this site. You can view the full terms and conditions of the competition here.
