The All Age Carers Strategy Consultation has now closed. Thank you to everyone who took part. Your feedback has made a difference in shaping the strategy to reflect the views of carers in west Cheshire and shape services to respond to the needs of All Age Carers. Cheshire West and Chester Council and NHS Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group want carers of all ages in the borough to feel valued, empowered and have access to the right support at the right time.
We are writing a strategy to improve support for carers. We want the strategy to reflect the lived experiences of local carers and how they wish to be supported in the future. We have identified what we think is important to carers, but we want to know if we’re getting it right. Are these the same issues that matter to you?
If you’re a carer, parent or are involved in providing services or support in this sector, we want to hear from you. Your feedback will help us to improve support for carers across the borough and make sure future services reflect carers needs.

Educate Professionals
Anon Carer It is really important that health care professionals are educated and informed on the difficulties experienced by Carers and that empathy is shown at all stages. This is particularly important within frontline services such as G.P practices and Hospitals. Being registered as a Carer should help you navigate barriers quickly to reduce stress.

Talk to all people
ive found if your are from my area of Cheshire and you work you and you options don't matter. eg carers forum , only meets in Chester and only during working hours so yo are only getting information from the far west of the county and non workers . Carers centre has zero funding for working carers , every support group , coffee morning , activity group , carers days etc are all for non working carers
