The ‘Play Your Part’ engagement exercise has now closed.

Thank you to everyone who took part. We have analysed all the feedback received and a copy of the feedback report is available here and information about the Council Plan 2020 to 2024 is available here.

We look forward to carrying on the conversation through more engagement on ‘Participate Now’.

Cheshire West is a great place to grow up for many with good schools and settings, in safe communities, with access to a range of leisure and culture activities. However, too many of our young people are in low income families, vulnerable and disadvantaged children are less likely to achieve at school than their peers, and there is growing demand for mental health services and services that support children with special educational needs and disabilities, and, whilst the number of children entering care is falling fast, west Cheshire still has more children in care than the national average.

Together we all play a part in supporting children and young people

  • How do you think the Council could make a difference?
  • What do you think residents could do to play their part?
  • Are there other groups and organisations you think need to be involved?
  • How do you think the Council should fund actions to support children and young people?

Find out more

To inspire ideas we have listed a number of things we think we could do to make a difference, along with some suggestions for how children, families and residents could play their part. We have also outlined how we could pay for this over the next four years.

To find out more, please watch our information video, or read one of our supporting children and young people further information booklets.
