Cheshire West and Chester Council is carrying out a public consultation to understand the views of residents, businesses, partners and wider stakeholders on our new draft Contaminated Land Strategy.
This strategy formally sets out the Council’s approach to inspecting and managing land affected by contamination in Cheshire West and Chester, to improve the environment and protect the public from land contamination risks.
The Council’s approach to inspecting and managing land contamination is largely guided by national regulations. In addition to these statutory requirements, this draft Strategy sets out the Council’s objectives and outlines our local approach to land inspection.
