Her-Place Community Share Hub, Baby Bank and Free Laundrette

Her-Place, a Cheshire-based women’s charity, run a Community Share Hub to support families by providing free essentials which have been donated by the local community.

There’s no referral needed and no questions asked. Everything is free – the aim is to support families while also promoting sustainability and environmental impact, by keeping good-quality items in use and reducing waste.

Items available from the Community Share Hub include:

• school uniforms (primary and secondary branded and unbranded items)
• children’s coats and other seasonal clothing (world book day costumes, prom dresses, etc.)
• baby support (up to 2 years) including baby clothing bundles, baby toiletries, nappies/wipes, blankets, Moses baskets, prams, bottles/sterilisers and other baby essentials
• children’s football boots and selected PE kit
• women’s hygiene and period products and toiletries
• bras

Baby Bank Event

Her-Place cover west and east Cheshire. On Saturday 21st February, 10am-12pm, they are running a Baby Bank event in Crewe where you can stock up on baby clothes and accessories. They will be offering:

• children’s winter coats
• knitted baby blankets and cardigans
• baby clothing bundles (up to 2 years of age)
• a range of baby essentials such as prams, bouncers, cots, etc.

Everything is free to take and donations are always appreciated. No booking needed – just pop in to HER Hub, 64 Beech Drive, Crewe, CW2 8RG.

If you can’t make it to Crewe, you can still place an order from the Community Share Hub and collect it from the Winsford hub, where there is also a free community laundrette. Turn up an hour before closing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9:30am-2pm or Thursdays 11:30am-2:30pm to use washing machine, dryers and detergent free of charge.
