The Learning Disability and Autism consultation is now closed.

Thank you to everyone who took part in our consultation. We have prepared a report that summarises the feedback from this, which is available here

The feedback you gave us has helped to shape the services for Learning Disability and Autism for the future.

We have used what you've told us to develop an Action Plan, which can be found here

This is when you have a short break away from home. They also helps carers and family members to have a break.

Cheshire West and Chester Council and NHS Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) want to hear your views on:

  • What makes a ‘good’ service for people with a learning disability and/or autism
  • What you think about the services you receive at the moment
  • What we could do to make care and support services for people with a learning disability and/or autism better

How you can take part

At the bottom of this page there are three ways you can tell us your views and ideas on Short break services (also known as respite services).

Share your ideas – do we have the right type and range of services in place? Are there improvements we can make? Are there any general comments or feedback you would like to give us? Please click here to share your ideas.

Fill in a survey – you can also complete our online survey here, which asks more detailed questions about the services and support you receive.

Attend a workshop – if you would like to share your views face to face, you can find out about workshops you can part in and how you can book a place here.

You can also tell us what you think via email, in writing or over the phone. Please see the ‘Other ways to take part’ section for more information on how to do this.

This consultation is for people who are 16 and over who have support from Learning Disability and/or Autism services and their Carers. By Carer we mean an "informal family carer, relative or friend".

If this does not apply to you but you want to share your views and experiences of these services, we would still like to hear what you think through our ideas board, or via email, in writing or over the phone (for more details, please see 'Other ways to take part').

This consultation is open until Monday 16 August 2021.
