The Local Plan Conversation engagement exercise has now closed.
Thank you to everyone who took part. A copy of the feedback report, comments on existing Local Plan policies and suggestions of sites and locations for new development and land that is important to protect, are now available via the link at the top of the page. There were a number of comments that did not relate to the Local Plan but to issues dealt with by other Council departments. Where possible all these other comments have been passed to the relevant services.
The findings of this engagement were discussed by the Council's Cabinet on 22 April 2022. Information about the meeting is available via the link at the top of the page.
Your feedback supported this discussion at Cabinet, where it was agreed that the Council commits to an update of the Local Plan (Part One) and commences initial work, including evidence gathering in advance of this, and establishes a cross-party Member Working Group. A report setting out the scope and timetable will be approved at a future Cabinet meeting.
