The Local Transport Plan engagement has now closed.
Thank you to everyone who took part.
Your feedback will help shape a draft new Local Transport Plan that we will consult on. The findings of the engagement phase and feedback on how we are responding to the key messages is available here.
You can also view the findings of the engagement in an interactive dashboard here.
Alternatively, the findings report and supporting appendix can be downloaded from the 'Engagement Findings Report' section on this page.
The engagement findings were considered by Cabinet in September 2024, to help inform the Councillor's decisions about the vision, priorities, and approach for the new draft Local Transport Plan. Details of this meeting can be found here.
You can register for updates on future stages of the development of the new Local Transport Plan here.
Cheshire West and Chester Council are developing a new, long-term plan for transforming transport across our borough. We would like to hear your views.
This engagement exercise opens on 20 November 2023 and closes at 23:59pm on 28 January 2024.
We know that transport plays an important role in shaping lives and communities across our borough, connecting people to opportunities, shaping our neighbourhoods, and supporting our businesses. It is also a key contributor in our ambition to achieve carbon neutrality and tackle climate change.
From conversations with stakeholders and the public, we recognise that there is work to be done to ensure that our transport systems across the borough truly deliver on this ambition.
We want to develop a new long-term plan for transforming transport across our borough, called a Local Transport Plan.
We would like to continue the conversation about the future of transport in Cheshire West and Chester and hear your views on:
The current transport network
The big issues around transport across the borough
Our vision for the future of local transport
The priorities for improvement
How we go about improving the transport network for the future.
