Sandfield Lane Social Distancing Ultramarathon

The Sandfield Lane, Hartford, Social Distancing Ultramarathon on 25th and 26th April was a huge success. This started off as a collective marathon but quickly snowballed as people wanted to push their boundaries and see how far they could go. We had 13 families complete 175 miles, and 1000 pressups, up and down our 0.1 mile lane over the weekend cheered on by the residents from the ends of their drives.

We had bunting and beer and lots of celebration and cameraderie whilst still being able to maintain social distancing.

There is already talk of it becoming an annual event🏅🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

Note: Each family was allocated a 1 hour timeslot so we could maintain social distancing

That sounds exhausting! Glad to hear that you were able to do all that whilst maintaining social distancing. A key message for anything like this is the need to think about all households being able to keep two metres apart from each other. Thanks for posting
