Share your ideas on key transport themes
The Core Strategy sets out our overall vision, priorities and plans for transport. We’re also developing plans for lots of different aspects of transport – from making sure buses and trains work well together, to ways of creating better, safer, more accessible streets.
If you have any ideas on any key transport themes, we’d love to hear them. Your input will help to shape our future plans.
This could be:
- Access to education – safe, convenient access to education and training
- Bus and coach – reliable, affordable, accessible public transport
- Car, van and taxi – optimised traffic flow, shared transport, parking
- Freight – clean, efficient movement of goods and materials
- Maintaining and managing our streets – well maintained streets and roads for safe, reliable travel
- Rail – access to rail stations and travel across the wider region
- Regeneration and placemaking – integrating transport with new development such as houses and business parks
- Safer streets – a “Vision Zero” approach to deaths and serious injuries on our transport networks
- Rural travel – connected, resilient and sustainable access for rural communities
- Walking, wheeling and cycling – encouraging active travel through improved infrastructure and connectivity
