The Property Asset Strategy Consultation is now closed
Thank you to everyone who took part. We have prepared a report that summarises your feedback which is available here. We have used this feedback to develop the Property Asset Strategy which can be found here.
The Property Asset Strategy was considered alongside the consultation findings at Cabinet on 13 December 2022, along with the supporting Management Plan and Disposal Process. The Strategy was approved by Cabinet and further information about this meeting can be found here.
We have developed a draft strategy that outlines how we manage Council land and buildings (the Council’s property portfolio) in the future. To help us finalise our strategy, we want to know what our residents and partners think.
Property is key to how the Council delivers services, from depots for our waste and highways teams to offices for our staff, and key property assets that our communities rely on such as libraries, community and leisure centres. We also hold commercial properties that generate important income for the Council, which helps to fund council services.
We want to know your views on the key principles of our approach to make sure our strategy is fit for purpose, reflects the needs of our residents and helps us to deliver high quality services.
To help answer any questions you might have about the consultation, we have put together some Frequently Asked Questions here
This consultation will be open until midday on 31 October 2022.
Your views will help to shape the final Strategy, which will be considered by the Council’s Cabinet. The outcome of the consultation and final strategy will be published on the Council’s website in November 2022.
